Did you know that up until the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition hits the stands, none of the models know who is gonna be on the cover? I imagine them all (still in bathing suits, obviously) sleeping on the sidewalk next to the 4th and F newstand, waiting for the truck to drop off the magazines, after which a fight breaks out and for some unfortunate reason they end up naked. Is this how you picture it?

Needless to say, this years mag is out, and the lucky cover girl is the insatiably sexy Brooklyn Decker, a blonde bombshell who looks completely stunning in the cover photo. She will definitely have a place on our next tribute to hand bras.

Despite the fact that underwear companies have been pumping out bras since the 1800s, the classic “hot chick” photoshoot in many men’s magazines these days feature women using completely inconvenient items to shield their breasts, from the crossed arm move, to a strategically placed pillow. Our favorite at BCU, though, is definitely the hand bra. Seductive without revealing everything, the hand bra deserves an award. With the help of Maxim, we’ve compiled a few of our favorite hand bras from over the years.

1. Carmen Electra

We forgive Carmen for that terrible reality show she made with her then husband Dave Navarro, and we even forgive her for ever dating Dennis Rodman. Let’s be honest, we’d forgive her for just about anything if she lived her life wearing only a hand bra.

2. Jennifer Scholle

Who is this girl? Does anyone know? I think shes famous for being someone’s girlfriend? Or wife maybe? We really couldn’t care less because this is quite possibly the hottest picture in the history of the world: it’s a double whammy of hand bra and side boob, with the added bonus of a butt shot. Whoever photographed this- we salute you.

3. Bobbie Sue Luthor

The host of the über nerdy Junkyard Wars shows that there’s more to her than announcing whether the Catapult Carnage  beat Jet Grenade. Despite working alongside acne-ridden mechanical geeks, she’s retained a flawless body, exemplified by this high-quality hand bra photo.

4. Sofia Vergara

You might of noticed we’ve been talking a lot about the Colombian bombshell from ABC’s Modern Family. It might be because we love that show, or it might be because this woman has got a rack that acts like a homing device to all males in the world.

5. Joana Krupa

One of the artsier photos in the bunch, the dark background and rainfall do not detract from the epic example of hand bra sexiness that this Dancing with the Stars hottie’s got going on. Very impressive.

We’ve all seen those cheesy motivational posters: there is a drop of water hitting a lake and it says something cliche like, “There is no I in team.”  However, these new sexy motivational posters, all located at the CHIVE, are much more our style. Featuring foxy ladies like Sofia Vergara (above), we can’t help but be extremely motivated!

Well, it’s that time of year again. Time to start gearing up for a debaucherous NYE, followed by a shame-filled scribbling of New Years Resolutions. However, here at BCU the end of the year is time for a collection of our favorite (and least favorite) things of the year! And considering we place a hot lady at the top of our “Favorite Things” list- Here we have our top 5 women of 2009, courtesy of Maxim magazine.

5) Olivia Wilde

Maxim had her at #1, but I have to bump her up a few notches because I don’t watch House, and apparently that’s where she exudes immeasurable amounts of hotness. However, I do recall her short but incredibly sexy run on The O.C. a few years back, where she and Mischa Barton shared a kiss. As that image is burned in my mind for all eternity, she can stay on the list.

4) Mila Kunis

Yes, I am aware that Forgetting Sarah Marshall came out in 2008, but by the time I got to Target to buy the DVD, it was 2009. And the surprise that Jackie from That 70’s Show got freakin’ crazy hot is still fresh in my mind. I’m making the list here, not you.

3) Malin Akerman

This year, she went from Ben Stiller’s hilariously psychotic wife in The Heartbreak Kid to a distraction from Billy Crudup’s creepy Smurf junk on The Watchmen. Either way, she was super hot. And, true to my flawless memory for lesbian scenes, she  was definitely in a threesome on Entourage a couple seasons back. Extra point!

2) Bar Rafaeli

Bar Rafaeli may not have starred in any big screen movies this year, but she graced the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition with her unquestionably rockin’ bod like, 57 times. And if you weren’t smart enough to pick up that magazine the day, nay the minute, it came out, I feel sorry for your poor, poor soul.

1)  Megan Fox

Don’t hate on me for making the obvious choice. I could have easily scanned the pages of some indie mag to find some “totally underrated” girl who, if you tilt your head and squint your eyes is like, kinda sorta pretty, but instead, I picked the world’s most bombshell brunette. From Transformers 2 to Jennifer’s Body, this unfairly genetically-blessed goddess has no business anywhere else except at Number One! Deal with it!

Every year, the storefronts in New York City become adorned with holiday lights, trees, and yuletide cheer. However, the most buzzed about store display doesn’t feature  Santa Clause or candy canes. The XOXO store has created in its display window a sort of mock-apartment, where two live models go about mundane tasks such as checking their e-mail or painting their fingernails. Sometimes though, a girl’s gotta change, and the stripping down happens right there in the store windows too!

As you might expect, the changing times are the most popular at the store front, to the point where a security guard has been hired to make sure the crowd doesn’t overflow into the streets. While most (especially guys) love the idea of a voyeuristic store ad, some naysayers are so upset that they tried to call the police. Although the cops decided no laws were being broken, we’re guessing they stopped by to break up the crowd and catch a peek for themselves ; ).

When we first heard the iPhone had launched an app for Playboy, we were a little confused. Had the usually prudish Apple finally given in to a nudity-filled app? No dice. As TechCrunch reveals- this Playboy app will not have nudity, but will feature articles from the mag as well as stats and (clothed) photos of the Playmate of the month.

Of course, Playboy is known from some great articles, but let’s face it, the highlight of the magazine isn’t the text. That’s for sure! While we’re excited to get an app where we can check up on our favorite Playboy bunnies, it does seem a little strange that Apple didn’t approve Playboy’s nudity…

Ladies, it’s time to realize summer is over. As much as we miss the warm sun and the opportunity to wear next to nothing, it’s no excuse to start dressing like you live under a bridge. We’ve got some fashions that will keep you warm and looking hot.

1. Coats

Obviously, it’s Winter. You can not get away with wearing your Dartmouth sweatshirt until February. A good investment in a coat will last no less than 2 years, and can really dress up a pair of jeans. Wool pea coats and leather or faux-leather bomber jackets are perfect, and will keep you toasty even in the coldest of months.

2. Boots

Both practical and adorable, a solid pair of boots are a necessity for Winter. There are so many ways to go with boots, from ankle high booties to rugged knee high boots that any girl can find her style. Plus they’ll keep you warmer than a basic pair of heels.

3. Tights

To avoid falling into the jeans-every-day winter slump, a bunch of  opaque tights are your answer. Available in just about every color under the sun, and thick enough to keep out most of the cold, opaque tights can brighten up any dreary winter outfit.

4. The Fanny Pack

Not the same teal nylon one that your mother toted around Disneyland in 85, but the same idea. Super fashionable fanny packs, created by Louis Vuitton and other high fashion brands, are a nice escape from the boring duffel bag sized bags of last season.

5. The Hoodie-Scarf

While your snowboarding beanie may keep your head warm, it makes you look like a teenage runaway. Clean up your look with one of these new scarf/hoodie combos that, like opaque tights, come in tons of colors. If you just have to combine two warming articles, please, skip the Snuggie, and go for the… um…  Scoodie.

That’s right, boys:  Tonight, the lovely ladies from the pages of the catalog you ”don’t read” are hitting the catwalk. Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr (pictured above showing off her best side) and more are poised to take your breath away clad only in lingerie tonight.

The Black Eyed Peas will be there to provide some musical entertainment, but let’s get real. Nothing short of an asteroid blasting through my ceiling and setting my couch on fire will distract me from watching these sexy ladies take the stage. Sorry, Fergie!

Brigitte, one of Germany’s most popular fashion magazines has decided to do away with stick thin fashion models for their features. A spokesperson from the magazine has announced that they plan to work exclusively with staff members and regular readers for their features.

Paper-thin models with unrealistic proportions are out. Real women with beautiful curves are in.
