At BCU we are dedicated followers of the psuedo-news site, The Onion. Similarly, we’re getting awful tired of all these “Shot at Love” “Tough Love” “Tool Academy” shows that glorify (and sometimes skyrocket to fame) women with no discernible talent other than chugging peach schnapps. Therefore, we love this clip, and so should you.

There is something about Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao that makes my heart just swell. It could be his tiny, hamster-like face, or his lightening fast punches, or the fact that he starred in a superhero movie called Wapakman along side a woman name Keanna Reeves. CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT SHE LOOKS LIKE?

Either way, I just found a new reason to love Manny Pacquiao, and that is his delectable singing voice, exemplified in this clip from the Jimmy Kimmel show. Don’t you just want to wrap him like lumpia and eat him up?!!!

While at the offices of BCU we aren’t avid Miller Lite drinkers, we have to give them props for this ad, parodying the well-known Match.com ads which show “spontaneous” and “unscripted” interviews with “real couples” that met on the site and are now on their way to “perfect, happy, in-love” matrimony.

And while it’s a hilarious ad, and we giggle at the thought of someone actually enjoying Miller Lite that much, it seems to unintentionally say what we’ve been saying for years- silly sites that claim peoples’ main goal in life should be to settle down with “The One” ignore the ever-expanding niche of singles who understand marriage isn’t the only option! Alright, fine, the ad isn’t saying exactly that, but it sure does make you think! Thanks you Miller Lite! Not for your cringe-inducing lager, but for an ad that proves people can be stay single and still be happy, as long as they’ve  got their favorite beer!

Add this to your list of reasons to never get married- This poor sap planned out an elaborate wedding proposal in front of 18,000 people at a Rangers game this Valentine’s Day, only to get rejected on the JumboTron by his soon-to-be-ex. And just to add salt to the wound, the announcers took the time to interject with a play-by-play of his failure for a couple minutes after. Bad idea, dude.

Trying to get that special someone off your back about Valentine’s Day already, so you can send an OBC booty-call card to a special someone else? Don’t worry, we got your back. Steve Jobs, you tricky little minx. Amidst the backlash of nerds everywhere calling the iPad a “let-down,” and “disappointing,” and “totally lame,” Jobs apparently decided to remind America that we are obsessed with Apple, no matter what we say. In this clip from the Grammys, Stephen Colbert pulls one out to read the nominees, and immediately makes me want one all over again.

After watching the video below- a trailer for HBO’s newest series based on the website “Funny Or Die,” I got really excited. Premiering Friday, February 19th, the addition of this star-studded comedy would bring my weekly TV viewing  days to an impressive 4 of 7. And then I remembered I don’t have HBO.
