Blah blah blah fashion couture classy elegant whatever whatever whatever.

Here are BCU’s top picks for Academy Award hotness.

1. Rachel McAdams

Steering away from the drab single toned dresses that most stars rock on the red carpet, Rachel McAdams went with “muted tones” and “flowing panels of organza and mousseline,” which I think is French for “I’d totally hit that.”

2. Sandra Bullock

The best actress winner looked bangin’ at age 45 in this body hugging lace and metallic… um… dress thing. Although I don’t know how I feel about that hooker-colored lipstick she’s got on,  considering she won an Oscar, I imagine she couldn’t care less what I think.

3. Cameron Diaz

I’ve had a major girl crush on Miss Diaz since her There’s Something About Mary. But here, in this super sexy dress and side swept hair that’s not full of, well, bodily fluids, she could be hotter than ever.

3. Penelope Cruz

Penelope Cruz could win our award for “Most Times Featured on a BCU Hotties List,” but you wouldn’t know it based on the trash-talking that went on about this dress. Crap like, “the dress wore her,” and other stupid lines that could only be said by jealous, unattractive TV hosts.

5. Anna Kendrick

A newcomer to the BCU top hotties awards, Anna Kendrick looked like a Greek goddess in this sheer pink dress. The Up in the Air star got slammed for those chunky heels, but what-ev-er, because the only complaint we have is that the slit in her dress should go way higher.

chris brown is a tard

In a perfect display of “What was he thinking?”, Chris Brown showed up at Jean Paul Gaultier’s boxing-themed presentation in Paris’ Fashion Week and even cozied up to the designer for a picture. Considering Brown is most famous for hitting Rihanna in the face, he might want to steer clear of posing next to people with black eyes.

The temperature is dropping and ladies are starting to dress like they live in the Alps. With Halloween over, do we really have to wait until New Years Eve to see some completely scandelous, and weather-innapropriate, attire?

Not to worry. We’ve compiled our top 5 hotties in Christmas outfits. Happy holidays!

5. Katy Perry

4. Britney Spears-

In her heyday, Britney made millions of guys sweat with her steamy Pepsi Ads. Now, the story is a little different. Oh, how we miss the 90’s.

3. Gisele Bundchen

The years go by and we can’t help but still love this runway goddess. She is enough to convince us that there may really be a Santa Clause. Tom Brady is a lucky, lucky man.

2. Michelle Monaghan

This beauty may have been in some pretty forgettable movies but she makes the list of our Christmas hotties. There’s something about that gun that she is holding. “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid!”

1. Alessandra Ambrosio

Can you really blame us for including two Victoria’s Secret models? The holiday runway show hosts a plethora of the world’s hottest Christmas angels, and it’s impossible to choose just one. Alessandra, with her mile-long legs and gorgeous Brazilian features, is by far the sexiest Christmas hotty.

Ladies, it’s time to realize summer is over. As much as we miss the warm sun and the opportunity to wear next to nothing, it’s no excuse to start dressing like you live under a bridge. We’ve got some fashions that will keep you warm and looking hot.

1. Coats

Obviously, it’s Winter. You can not get away with wearing your Dartmouth sweatshirt until February. A good investment in a coat will last no less than 2 years, and can really dress up a pair of jeans. Wool pea coats and leather or faux-leather bomber jackets are perfect, and will keep you toasty even in the coldest of months.

2. Boots

Both practical and adorable, a solid pair of boots are a necessity for Winter. There are so many ways to go with boots, from ankle high booties to rugged knee high boots that any girl can find her style. Plus they’ll keep you warmer than a basic pair of heels.

3. Tights

To avoid falling into the jeans-every-day winter slump, a bunch of  opaque tights are your answer. Available in just about every color under the sun, and thick enough to keep out most of the cold, opaque tights can brighten up any dreary winter outfit.

4. The Fanny Pack

Not the same teal nylon one that your mother toted around Disneyland in 85, but the same idea. Super fashionable fanny packs, created by Louis Vuitton and other high fashion brands, are a nice escape from the boring duffel bag sized bags of last season.

5. The Hoodie-Scarf

While your snowboarding beanie may keep your head warm, it makes you look like a teenage runaway. Clean up your look with one of these new scarf/hoodie combos that, like opaque tights, come in tons of colors. If you just have to combine two warming articles, please, skip the Snuggie, and go for the… um…  Scoodie.

More proof that BCU has always been ahead of the curve. We announced the overweight was the new blonde and were the first to bring you the horribly photoshopped Ralph Lauren ad. Now, we’ve got even more good news for women, the majority of which don’t fit size 0 jeans.

According to the BBC, a study done by St Andrews University revealed that male students found women who were of an average weight and build to be the most attractive. Men were more attracted to women that appeared healthy as opposed to overly thin or skinny women. This debunks the long propagated myth that women had to be underweight to be sexy. In fact, when commenting on whether a woman was attractive or not, men are prone to comment on whether or not the woman appeared in good health.

A cloud of controversy has surrounded Ralph Lauren’s recent advertisement. An obviously photoshopped ad from the clothing company displays an unrealistically thin model. Critics of the ad have commented, “Dude, her head’s bigger than her pelvis.”

This ad begs the question, if a supermodel needs to be digitally altered to fit the standards of fashion, what does that mean for the rest of us? Ralph Lauren should really take a lesson in beauty from Brigitte Magazine.

At OBC, we’ve always been ahead of the curve. We know that beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes. It looks like fashion magazines are beginning to realize this as well.

Brigitte, one of Germany’s most popular fashion magazines has decided to do away with stick thin fashion models for their features. A spokesperson from the magazine has announced that they plan to work exclusively with staff members and regular readers for their features.

Paper-thin models with unrealistic proportions are out. Real women with beautiful curves are in.
